self portrait tuesday

and just because i´m on vacation (and i finally managed to read the 5 texts i´ve been wanting to since easter holidays) i felt like joining self portrait tuesday. i get easily bored and when it happens at my work place i navigate through many blogs and i happened to find spt, which i´ve been reading weekly for months. it just amazes me how people show their creativeness, their feelings or whatever they want to share with other people. i hardly get bored of people like that.

i get easily bored but i get easily satisfied: leave me with a good book or some pictures to play with (with our scanner, and photoshop) or some papier mache birds to make, and i will be happy as a child for hours. (just like the girl in the photo below- me, playing at the backyard of my parent´s house n 1980, i guess).

so, let me introduce myself: my name is ligia and i´m a brazilian girl living in sao paulo. i´m 29. i was bored before i started writing this post.

the two images posted below say a little bit about myself: i´m really into colors and i like playing with words. i don´t like to expose myself unnecessarily (but of course i take self portraits). i made these images on a sunday night when, feeling anxious and bored, i started cutting words and texts from the newspaper and scanned them and made some stuff with some nice paper i had at home.

the photo below is one of my favorites. the words were taken from an apartment ad in the newspaper

this image was made with origami paper, and a wording i cut form the newspaper- meaning modern but. this is me, i guess. sometimes i think i´m so old-fashioned. and a say too many but....

so, that´s it. please excuse me for the bad english.
